Mother/Groom Dance

The Mother/Groom Dance is the time when the groom and his mother get a special moment alone on the dance floor.  When selecting music for this transition, the groom traditionally selects a song with words that reflect a special message to his mother.  Or the reverse can be done...a message from the groom's mother to the groom.  In the situation where the groom's mother is deceased, the groom may elect to dance with his grandmother, sister, aunt or someone he has a special relationship with.  It is also appropriate to have an additional Mother/Groom Dance with a stepmother, if desired. A combined Father/Bride and Mother/Groom Dance (FBMG) may be requested in place of the two separate dances.
